Over the phone, they advised the estimate was free of charge. They provided an estimate of $700 to replace a light switch. When we declined they requested a $49 fee for coming out. We were ok paying the fee because we did get an accurate diagnosis. Seeing that it was an electrical issue and not a chimney issue, a certified electrician has already completed the job (less than an hour later) for $40.00. Fireplace is now firing up and staying on. The owner called after the review and rectified the issue. He insisted on refunding the $49 though I advised no need. Considering the positive feedback this company has received I would not discourage anyone from using them. The actions that the owner took shows an honest businessman who cares about his reputation.
