Amanda Pharis Design

Introduction: I'm looking for hard working clients who understand the value that design-forward thinking can lend their new (or established!) businesses. Many designers today neglect data and can be considered decorators instead of designers. My goal is to move from that model of design and work towards strategic design that helps your business reach your objectives successfully. Most recently, I worked as a graphic designer at Southern Kitchen, initially a vertical company at Cox Media Group prior to transitioning to an event and commerce platform with Gatehouse Media Group. During the transition I advanced from Senior/Lead Graphic Designer to Art Director, as I managed GHM designers who assisted with marketing assets through other GHM properties, a junior designer and worked with developer and merchandising vendors and their creative teams. I've also worked with the well-established KEH Camera, designing and managing their email campaigns. My responsibilities included asset creation and content management for both digital and print marketing. My primary role as email designer was to work with various departments to create relevant and new content for email marketing, which saw a 61% lift during my time at KEH Camera. Research was a pertinent part of campaign development, and required expert input from in-house technicians as well as collaboration with marketing and operations. Previous to KEH Camera, I worked for a multi-channel luxury home decor/gift start up in Atlanta, managing and designing print and web creative assets for marketing, retail signage, social media content, as well as copy and brand design. Other responsibilities included illustration and design work for exclusive brand packaging and labeling, actively maintaining the front end of our e-commerce site and inventory image banks and occasional photography/set styling for catalog assets.
