Courtney is by far the best massage therapist I've ever had. I've been going to him for 15 years and although I've moved to NY and now SF, I cannot find anyone as knowledgeable or talented as Courtney to take care of me. He just knows what your body needs by a few questions and assessments and adjusts your treatment accordingly. At the end of every session I always feel like a different (better) person.

Courtney is the BEST sports massage therapist in Atlanta, from my experience. He has treated several significant running injuries I've had, such as tendonitis, in a matter of a couple of sessions. He is very thorough with both his diagnosis and treatment. Overall, I would highly recommend him, especially for athletes looking to minimize their downtime.

I have been working with Courtney for at least seven years now. I am a runner who does frequent and very long and sometimes multiday races. Six or seven years ago when training for a particular race, I hurt my back. I first went to a spinal doctor, had x-rays and MRIs, and physical therapy but it did not try one bit. I next tried a chiropractor which also did not help. I was in horrible pain all of the time. Then someone bought me a gift certificate for the spa down the street. I called and asked for their best therapist and got Courtney. He was amazing. After one session I was already feeling the best I had in months. He got me up and running (literally) in no time. I also worked/work a desk job where I would sit at my desk for 12-14 hours a day and my neck and shoulders kill me, and I often suffer from TMJ headaches. Courtney works it all out and has me feeling better and standing up straighter! Now anytime I have any sort of injury or nagging aches and pains (whether it be my knees, back, ankles, hamstrings, shoulders, neck, whatever) I don't panic, I just call Courtney. He can fix just about anything. Courtney is so knowledgable and if my knee is hurting, he will get in there and figure out that it is actually my tight hamstrings or quads, fix those up and I'll be on my way. He is ridiculously nice and caring and always listens. He gives great advice which has helped me keep my body running well and when I abuse it too much he always fixes it. Courtney is a both a wonderful soul and massage therapist. I have had massages in numerous cities and countries and there is no one better. He's so good that my skeptical husband even eventually gave in and went to see him and now goes every Saturday.

Courtney is amazing. He has truly saved me from getting surgery. His knowledge of muscle anatomy and kinesiology is impressive; he truly practices what he preaches (even for someone like me who has a PHD in physiology). I have since moved from Atlanta and I have yet to find someone as good as Courtney. I doubt I ever will. He set the bar really really high.
Sequoia Massage Therapy's reply
