Robert did an excellent job. He was punctual, offered reasonable rates and was very professional. I will use his services again in the future.

I called Mr. Dinkins after a friend had some work done in his home and referred me to Nu-Homes. I needed quite a lot of work done and he was completely professional and courteous throughout the job. He tiled my kitchen and bathroom, turned my old tub into a beautiful walk in shower, painted three bedrooms, added a bedroom in my unfinished basement and built walls to make me an "entertainment room." He also laid hardwood in the living room and hallway. I have nothing but good things to say about Mr. Dinkins and his company. Very fair, no "hidden" costs at the end, and updated me every day on exactly what was going on and that it was still on schedule. I will certainly use Nu-Homes again and recommend him to all my friends. Sincerely, Edward Lee

He was wasteful of material, failed to show up regularly, and showed a complete lack of knowledge about laying tile. He could improve by becoming an apprentice for a couple of years and learning the trade.

This contractor should learn tile laying techniques concurrent with industry standards. Nice guy, but his work is subpar.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always loved to work with my hands. At the age of 12, I started putting together entertainment centers and other boxed furniture. By the time I was 16, my summer's were spent helping with deck building. Ever since then I fell in love with carpentry and remodeling. I take pride in my work, and always strive to learn more.
