I hired Chase Moore to landscape my front yard. I wanted an area around my bird feeders enclosed with a low rock wall and mulched with pine bark. I also wanted the rest of the yard sodded, a small wall around my mailbox flower bed, a stone walkway across the front of the house, a certain variety of crape myrtle planted, and old shrubs removed and new azaleas planted in the same area. The good things are: the new azaleas seem healthy, and the walkway looks good, except that there is a low spot where puddles collect. Chase is pleasant and a hard worker, but I think he doesn't know enough about some things, such as laying sod. The bad things: He did not prepare the ground properly for the sod, and did not lay the sod properly. The surface is uneven, the edges of each block of sod are noticeable, and weeds are coming up around and through it. Many of the rocks in the top layer of both walls have come loose. He never brought the crape myrtle. I tried repeatedly to get him to come back and fix these things, and he kept saying he would, but he never did. I waited a long time before posting this review, to give him a chance to fix what was fixable, but he has had more than enough time.
