FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice to someone looking to hire a provider like me is to be clear about your needs when choosing an editor. "Look this over and tell me what you think" is too broad and vague to be of any use to you in your writing/publishing journey. At the same time, don't present yourself as only wanting proofreading services, when in fact you desire the guidance and critique that comes from a coaching relationship. When you are clear about what you want, your editor can be clear about whether or not he/she can provide it.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Editors come in different varieties and have different specialties and it is okay to keep searching until you find the one that works for you. I become disappointed when a customer walks away from a contractual experience dissatisfied.
