I prepare all personal and business tax returns. I use both Peachtree Accounting and QuickBooks for my accounting practice.

I worked for a large company for over 25 years and taught their employees advanced tax preparation for 15 years. I have been an enrolled agent since 2001.

A. I prepare personal and business tax returns.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Check them out. Ask for existing client referalls. Meet with the owner prior to making a selection. Check them out with the Better Business Bureau.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Know what an Enrolled Agent is in comparision to a Tax professional and a bookkeeper. Know what an Enrolled Agent is in comparrision to a CPA.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Decide wheter you need a CPA or an Enrolled Agent. If the problem is with the IRS, an Enrolled Agent is a much better choice3.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I am very knowledgeable in the area of income taxes. My fees are very affordable. I explain what I am doing. I do not have a client drop off their information and then inform them when I have completed the tax return without explaining what is on the return. I want my client to understand what is on their tax return.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Meeting the people and helping them with their tax return or problem with the IRS.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How much will this cost me? I explain that I charge by the forms that their circumstance calls for to provide an accurate and complete return.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I woukd like for more people to understand what an Enrolled Agent is and how that person can help them with their income taxes.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I was working in construction on large homes with the possibility of falling a great distance. I was looking for a profession that I could get in and be able to perform that job from a wheel chair if I needed to.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Because I am an Enrolled Agent, I MUST take a minimum of sixteen hours of continuing education every year and a total of seventy two hours every three years when my license comes up for renewal. Every year, two of the hours has to be on ETHICS.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. My desire to help people.
