I took art classes throughout middle and high school, and I often incorporated traditional floral designs into my art projects to add a Desi cultural touch. I've been doing henna tattoos for over a decade now. I started working as a wedding coordinator in 2014 and have specialized in partial planning/day-of coordination for South Asian weddings. I’ve learned several skills such as party hair/makeup, eyebrow threading and Gel-X manicures to become a bride’s “one-stop shop” for appointment add-ons to either their henna or coordination package. I’ve planned numerous birthday parties and baby showers as well and truly enjoy the planning/coordination process. I found Neeshat through her henna page and later found out that she also coordinates events. I reached out to her and had a brief consultation, after the consultation, I decided to go forward and hired Neeshat for 3 of my events: nikkah, mehendi, and haldi. I also wanted to hire her for my reception but unfortunately she was booked that day and recommended another colleague to help coordinate my final day.I know I made the right choice when Ive received a long PDF of different themes/inspo for each events and quality vendors that were in town. Also, ideas on dresses that will match my theme and where to look for them. Anytime I had a question, I was able to message her and get a reply back asap! Even though she was in grad school, she made sure to make time for me or give me a reply back that same day. We would touch base frequently, FaceTime and would go through a rundown of all my events with her team. For my at home nikkah, I wanted to DIY my decor, after choosing the theme and the look I wanted from the inspo pdf that she created, she helped me find all the materials I needed from amazon/Michaels, which made the process so easy for me and everything came out so perfect. For the haldi and mehendi, she helped me find the vendors and coordinated with them on the look I wanted. A week before the event, she organized a detailed timeline and contacted the vendors in regard to their set up and breakdown times.My haldi and nikkah count was 70 and my mehendi was 300 and Neeshat and her team managed the events so well. From being the first to show up and meeting with me first and addressing any concerns I had to setting up party favors, place cards, table numbers to coordinating with the vendors. During the events, she made sure everything went according to the timeline and we werent behind in schedule. And all of my belongings were with her team and safely put in my hotel room at the end of the events.I cant recommend Neeshat enough! Shes the most reliable and organized person Ive met in the business. She handled everything so well and kept me in check with our meetings, making sure we crossed everything out from our list. If you want to work with a reliable partial planner/day-of coordinator and want your events to go smoothly then you have to hire Neeshat! It was the best decision I made!

I hired Neeshat events based on referrals from some of her past clients. Although she is based in Atlanta, she traveled to Jacksonville, Florida for the weekend to help with my wedding! She coordinated and ran my rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, and my wedding ceremony. She made sure that everything ran according to schedule, that all ~160 guests were accommodated, and that all other vendors were set up and good to go.She also made sure that I had a chance to eat hors douvres before our day-of-the-wedding photoshoot and a plate of dinner before greeting all the guests. Weddings get chaotic, as us brides know, so making sure I was fed & happy is a small but key priority to making sure I could stick to the schedule & still enjoy the wedding festivities.She honestly made everything so smooth & easy the whole weekend, that I feel like my wedding couldnt have been as beautiful of a memory if it were not for her making sure everything ran according to plan!

I had the awesome opportunity to hire Neeshat as my full wedding planner for my January 2015 wedding. She went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and I had time to enjoy my own wedding without any stress. I hired her and her team for 4 South Asian wedding events: Nikkah, Haldi, Wedding Ceremony, and Wedding Reception. All 4 days were strategically planned, and no time was wasted between setting up each venue and being in contact with vendors. She created a timeline for my fianc and I, her team, and vendors to follow which helped tremendously with the flow of events from all angles. She instructed her team to be available for any last-minute event hiccups and to sort tasks out in a calm and collected manner which they did so beautifully.Based on our client meetings, I learned I could also give her creative control in helping me finalize my Haldi, Wedding Ceremony, and Wedding Reception stage dcor which every guest loved! She worked with the dcor team to help my vision come to life. She worked very closely with the photographer to make sure I got the poses I told her I wanted to capture. She even set aside time to curate a Bollywood playlist for my 1 hour long wedding video compilation of my 3 big events. She also did an AMAZING job with my bridal henna! I picked the design I wanted from the wide selection she provided, and had henna up to my elbows done! Absolutely enjoyed that pre-wedding henna time before the event chaos started. We had an intimate Nikkah with close family, a joint Haldi event with 250 guests, and both the wedding ceremony and wedding reception with 400 guests each.I truly enjoyed having Neeshat and her team plan and coordinate my wedding and allowing my fianc and I to enjoy our week of events stress free! She has a wide range of skills that expand beyond just planning and coordinating, such as doing bridal henna, making acrylic welcome signs, doing gel-X manicures and facial threading, and even content creation during events. If youre looking for an Atlanta coordinator, her attention to detail, organizational skills and quick communication will take a huge load off of any brides shoulders!Keep up the great work and hope to work with you again for future parties!

I loved everything about working with Neeshat for my 40th birthday party! First, I reached out to her only 3 days before the event And she responded within minutes to me. She was available and affordable. She showed up right on time and gave me the best value for my money that I've ever had when it comes to henna tattoo. It was so beautiful and she makes me want to get it done as often as possible. My guests were so happy to get there henna done and she made them each feel really special. I will definitely hire her again and as much as I can.

Through my own mistake I booked for the wrong date and didn’t realize until my event had started-however Neeshat was very responsive and was able to find an alternative person to come to my party at the very last minute-my party was saved! Everyone at the party had so much fun, we had a line for henna the entire night!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been an art student from elementary to college. I’ve taken Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Art classes. I have experience doing henna, brows and nails since 2008. I have experience event planning/day-of coordination/social media content creation since 2013 and acquired other helpful skills such as creating acrylic welcome signs and drawing custom welcome signs. I have experience with creating and setting up balloon garlands and greenery backdrop décor since 2020. I have also been doing party/bridal hair and makeup since 2020 and will officially launch my hair and makeup studio in 2025.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing henna tattoos at cultural events and football games in high school. I wanted to spread South Asian culture on campus and my henna booth was a very successful fundraiser for my Bollywood Dance Team. My passion for wedding planning and decor expanded with my henna business, and I continued to learn more and more skills to meet my client’s needs throughout the years.
