Linda was the inhouse bookkeeper/accounting manager for Nelkin Real Estate for 25 years. Nelkin Real Estate/Majestic Management Company is a commercial real estate firm in Metro Atlanta with over 2000 units and has over 160 employees. Contacted her to be my bookkeeper. After 4 months of no work done, missed tax filing date, and no communication I has to remove her from my system and try to find someone to fix my books.

Hi! As you know, I had a death in the family the last week of October. It was unexpected. I had hospital visits that week and then family and arrangements. It came on the heels of another family death less than a year prior. It did knock me for a loop. We lost an employee the first week of November as well. It was not a normal time for our company. However, it was not 4 months of no work. We received the QBO log in 9/23, worked on PayPal reconciliations and chart of account changes through mid October. Bank feeds weren't connected until October 19th. I did email November 2nd about the death and hospital visits that had occurred the week prior and you told me not to worry, that you would follow up on a week. You did not, but I did not either; I should have contacted you at the very least after the holidays and normally I would have followed up regularly and completed the work. However, these were not normal times, both in business and personally. I did offer in my first message to work something out with you, but did not hear back. I appreciate your reaching out to me originally and I'm sorry it didn't work out.
