FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing could be a fixed fee based on scope of work, hourly rate, or we can work out an hourly fee with a not to exceed until the scope of work is well defined. Our fees aren't the lowest, but they aren't the highest either. We generally fall in the middle compared with most service professionals in the Southeast.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial phone call to go over the scope of work, and for the potential client to get a feel for us, and vice versa. This would be followed up by an initial visit to the site to solidify the scope of work, and to ensure we are on the same page. During that initial site visit, we listen the owner's vision, and provide our professional input as necessary. Next as a baseline, we will create a schematic set of drawings or alternatives for the owner to choose from. We would then refine the design with the customer until they are completely satisfied. Once everyone is happy with the design, we complete the rest of the drawing set. This would include all the drawings necessary for permit review and construction. Once the permit has been pulled, we offer our construction administration services or we make continue to be available for future consultations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Architecture, 4 Architectural Licenses, American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and Urban Land Institute member.
