My friend and I had a boudoirphoto shoot with David and he made it a great experience! We had our makeup done there and we looked beautiful, if I do say so myself! He played fun upbeat music to make us comfortable and relax and we did multiple poses in each outfit with different props and in different locations around his place. He was also very open to our outfit choices and to the number of outfits we wanted to use. He was very efficient and we got a lot more shots than I would have imagined in the time frame. The turn around time for him getting our digital galleries ready was less than 24 hours and the photos were amazing (even before retouching)! He gave excellent and specific directions and guidance for each pose (and boy were we sore the next day!) and really seems to enjoy doing what he does and making people feel beautiful. I would love to do it again and would definitely come back to David!

My session was incredible. David was very professional and made me feel very comfortable from the first moment I arrived. He explained everything in detail about how the shoot was going to go. He's very talented, has a great eye, and knows how to get the perfect shot. My pictures turned out better than I ever expected. My shoot included makeup and hair on set and his make up artist Adrienne is great! I would highly recommend David Scruggs Photography!

What an incredible photographer and an even more incredible person! David's warm and welcoming personality made the shoot loads of fun! The photos he captured of my daughter were simply amazing. In addition to the studio shots, his beautiful Victorian home provided an elegant backdrop for some additional photos. My daughter is building her modeling portfolio, and we have already scheduled a location shoot with David for next week!

So I was hesitant about a using a male photographer for my boudoir shoot I wanted to do for my fiance.. But after looking over David's work and talking with him on the phone I felt more at ease. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$2495 for up to 8 hours of coverage with 2 pro photographers; a 20-page album; a thumb drive of high-res images with print release, and travel.
In Greater Atlanta: add an engagement session or rehearsal dinner.
Elsewhere: add unlimited wedding-day coverage.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with an in-person meeting (or a phone call if we're long-distance) to discuss wedding day details and coverage preferences. We'll follow that with an electronic agreement and retainer invoice.
When business is taken care of, we'll email you our Word-formatted wedding photography preferences worksheet that contains our notes from our initial discussion with you. You'll correct and embellish this document as needed, and you'll return it to us before your big day.
We'll review it and might ask for another phone call or meeting to go over ideas for shots. When possible, we'll meet you at the venue for a walk-through. We'll also do our research if we aren't familiar with the venue you've chosen so that we're prepared when we arrive.
A day or two beforehand, we'll touch base again to assure you we'll be there. We usually show up 30 minutes to an hour early, even when we know the venue, just to find you and see if there's anything you need before we get busy doing our thing :)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
David is a Certified Professional Photographer candidate, having passed the written exam demonstrating knowledge about the technical aspects of photography.
David and Jill are members of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International and Professional Photographers of America, two great professional organizations that promote learning and collaboration.
They're also big fans of Creative Live, an online subscription service with tons of technique videos by high-profile pros who share their knowledge, and they study the work of other great photographers to inspire their creativity.
