I met Patrick before he had his own business. Luckily, when I went into the large box massage place the first time, I was placed with Patrick. I have been going to Patrick for over two years. I am a person who gets a massage for deep tissue work. I am an attorney and my stress always exhibits itself in my neck and shoulder area, leaving me full of pain. Although most massage therapists can give you a good feeling type of massage, it’s very rare to find a therapist like Patrick who not only gives a tremendous deep tissue massage, but knows exactly where to use his skills to help alleviate the pain in the exact spot you are feeling it. Patrick has an exceptional knowledge of how the body works, and what muscles control what areas of the body. It’s like having a master of anatomy work on you. Although thorough when giving a deep tissue massage, Patrick is skilled in not working one area too long. He moves on to other areas in a timely manner, thereby not making the discomfort of deep tissue work too much to bear. I am always disappointed when the session is over, claiming that he has turned back the timer and it could not have possibly been one hour since he started! By the next day, my pain is completely gone and I sing his praises once again. Once you have experienced Patrick’s skillful massage, every other therapist will pale in comparison. You will return to Patrick again and again like I do.

Words cannot express how glad I am that I found Patrick. After a bad car accident last August I started having severe headaches and neck pain. Therapy had reduced my symptoms but every so often they would pop back up. Chiropractic care tended to keep it at bay but after experiencing many weeks of constant head and neck pain I started looking into massage therapy as an option. I went to Patrick looking for Trigger Point Therapy/deep tissue work. Patrick was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what the source of my problem was and what areas to focus on. The pressure was perfect and I could feel the pain focusing and then leaving my head as he worked on my muscles. Now I have had good massages, great massages, and terrible massages. But never have I left a massage feeling like a whole new person. My neck tension was completely gone and my head felt better than it had in months! Towards the end of that day my muscles starting aching but within 24 hours or so everything felt good as new. And almost a week later my head is still is relatively pain free. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. I have already told all of my friends about my experience and I highly recommend him to anyone experiencing muscle pain.

I met Patrick through a local networking group. I had a meeting with him and was really impressed with how he presented the services he offered and why Equilibrium Wellness was started. I booked a massage with Patrick online the next day (very easy) and scheduled the massage for the next week. I have had many massages in my life (well over 50). During our meeting and right before my massage started Patrick asked where my trouble areas were. My shoulders give me problems as I explained to Patrick and as he noticed just from looking at my posture. Patrick addressed my shoulder mobility issues by finding the source of the problem and not just working on my shoulders and neck as most other therapists have done. He spent the whole session, over an hour, working on my upper body. I felt great, a little sore, after the massage and my shoulders immediately felt better. I did a workout later in the day and my shoulder mobility was much better. I have already scheduled my second massage with Patrick so he can continue his extraordinary work. I cannot recommend Patrick and Equilibrium Wellness enough. If you have not had a massage with Patrick yet, you are missing an unbelievable opportunity to feel better. Make time for yourself for a very beneficial service that will positively impact your life!

Patrick is so much more then a massage therapist, he is a healer. In the few weeks he has been working on me-- my range of motion, flexibility and ability to walk farther has improved significantly. He knows his stuff and I highly recommend him if you are recovering from surgery or an injury, or just want to feel groovy.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

At Equilibrium Massage we focus on treating pain and injuries at the source of the issue and not just symptoms. Our therapist has extensive experience in effectively treating a wide variety of issues with noticeable competency in the following areas: Neck Pain Whiplash Shoulder Pain Lower Back Pain Herniated Discs Upper Back Pain Sciatica Restless Leg Syndrome Rotator Cuff Tear/Injury Frozen Shoulder Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (shooting pain, burning, and/or numbness traveling from shoulder to fingers) Whiplash Trigger Points TMJ Dysfunction Headaches Muscle/Tendon/Ligament Recovery Nerve Impingement.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

There are many kinds of massage therapists, each with particular strengths and weaknesses. The best thing you can do is to assess what it is you want out of a massage and find a therapist that specializes in what you need. There are also generalities to consider, men tend to be better with deep tissue and women with relaxation (although by no means is this always the case). Also look for the credibility of the school they attended, I went to the Atlanta School of Massage and have found some of the most knowledgeable therapists were also from that school. There is a noticeable difference between schools and by extension the massage therapists that graduated from different schools.
