Ken responded promptly to my post, spent time explaining the "good/bad/ugly" of the project at hand, and fixed the immediately plumbing issues I had at a very reasonable price. We are moving forward with a larger project of replacing carpet with wood flooring and I feel confident it will done well at a price within my budget.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Material pricing is actual cost... Home Depot or Lowe's prices. The customer is never "overcharged" for materials. As for labor cost... it is separate, affordable, and often (not always) negotiable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 35 years of on the job experience in all phases of the construction field. I went to school for HVAC. I love what I do.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing landscaping, blacktopping, and running heavy equipment right out of high school then I got into carpentry, electrical,and plumbing. I have been working in the construction field my whole life.
