Chrissie was referred to us by a friend, and that was one fortunate referral for us! Besides being a lovely person who is a joy to have in our home, she is an amazingly versatile and talented artist; we've used her four times already! She has refreshed our living room by fauxing a wood and tile fireplace and the flanking bookcases; she has textured the walls of our main-floor powder room, creating a unique space; she has made two hand-painted floor cloths for our kitchen; and she undertook the huge project of transforming a suite of dining room furniture -- dining table with two leaves, six chairs, a sideboard and a tea cart -- from a 1950s dull walnut finish to a gorgeous, marbled black-and-white finish that is one-of-a-kind. Chrissie even painstakingly made the marblizing flow across the leaves so that the table top looks like one piece whether or not the leaves are in!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
After 13 years in the medical sales field, I took a career counseling course at Ogelthorpe University. The test results showed that I should be an interior designer/decorator. I took faux finish classes, and realizing my passion, interned with the instructor.
