Introduction: Hi! My name is Tristan, and I am a graduate of Harvard Law School (2020) and Harvard College (2015).
Writing has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I credit my writing skills for getting me to where I’ve been in my career. As Vice President of the Harvard Law Review, I created the annual Writing Competition that hundreds of first-year students take for admission to the Law Review, and I also wrote feedback memos to law school professors on how to improve their article submissions. I am a Truman Scholar and graduated from Harvard College magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. In addition to Harvard, I was also accepted to the following colleges as a high school senior: Yale, Stanford, Penn, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Virginia (full-ride Jefferson Scholarship recipient), and the University of Maryland (full-ride merit scholarship recipient).
I have over 10 years of experience working with students on their personal statements and essays for applications to colleges and graduate school programs. I specialize in college essay advising, and I also design longitudinal curricula in expository writing, argumentative writing, and personal narrative writing for those looking for a comprehensive experience in growing their writing skills. I employ a unique question-based + structural editing approach to writing tutoring that I have found to be tremendously successful in helping students develop the tools they need to be effective writers as they grow in their educational and professional pursuits.
I am available for remote sessions via Zoom for students based anywhere.
I charge $480 for individual 1-hour sessions (students will send me their essays ahead of time, I will review and provide substantive feedback on my own time, and we will devote the actual session to working through my feedback). You may also bundle 5 sessions together for a discounted price of $2000, and customers who purchase this option will also get a free 1-hour interview prep session with me.
I would be honored and excited to have a conversation about how I can be a part of your writing journey!
