Jonathan M. says, "We found Carol to tutor our son in writing over the summer. He was a rising 5th grader. We were impressed with the progress our son had made with his writing after working with Carol over the summer. He is now thinking about what he is writing and will go back to revise what he had written. The significant change is from rushing through writing assignments to being more thoughtful about what he is writing and the technical construction of the sentences. At the end of the summer we decided to continue with Carol weekly throughout the school year as we were impressed with the progress our son has made. Carol started initially with simple writing assignments and is working her way to longer essays that are tailored to our son’s interests. I didn’t think he would progress to longer assignments from Carol this quickly. I believe this is a significant benefit of having a writing tutor instead of solely relying on public education. I also see the difference in the initial writing assignments he has done in class now that school has resumed versus what he had written at the end of the previous year. As a parent I am glad that we can access great tutors such as Carol online and we are not just dependent on what is available locally."See more

I am actively taking classes in Public Speaking and Acting, but as I often joke around with him, I feel like I am also talking to a Psychologist with how great I feel after his classes. Gino is simply an expert at what he does. But more importantly I would say, is that he is also a natural teacher. He consistently provides knowledgable feedback in our assignments, in a way that both makes sense to me, and builds my confidence. He has mastered the art of teaching. If the caliber of the Pros on thumbtack are at Gino's level, then kudos to them. At $50 an hour, with Gino's years of experience, I consistently find myself feeling like I struck gold. I assume many people find themselves taking public speaking courses and acting courses from him for a specific event they might have in mind (and he is likely the best option for them in that), but in my case, my goals which are more in the realm of personal improvement, are actively being achieved through my classes with him as well.
