- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Kirkwood Community College in May 2017 with an Associates degree in the Computer Support Specialist program. During my education, I worked at a local repair shop fixing cell phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, televisions, and even did solder work too. In the two years I was there, I went from never even seeing the inside of a phone to being the head technician doing repairs that competitors wouldn't even touch.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a passion for computers and technology. At a young age, I decided this is what I wanted to do with my life. In July 2014, I began educating myself heavily in computer hardware and built my own custom PC in August 2014. Since then I have immersed myself in technology, and I cannot get enough.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have completed a variety of jobs such as cell phone screen repair, PC virus removal, LCD replacements in laptops, and even full motherboard replacements in computers. I have also had experience with microsoldering (cell phone charge ports, buttons, etc).
