FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My best friend and I started this company 5 years ago in high school. I am an entrepreneur at heart and he is a techie. He came to me with the idea of starting a DJ company because he knew sound equipment and I knew money. It seemed like a logical combination, and after playing for only a few months, I really fell in love with the work and it is more of a labor of love for me now than a business in my eyes.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My biggest piece of advice for someone looking to hire a DJ for any event is to find a company who can send it's owner to your show. This will not only assure professionalism on site, but will also guarantee that you get someone at your event who is really passionate about the work they are doing. Hopefully they started their business like I have with mine because they love what they are doing and will bring great energy to your event.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I am an owner/operator of my business, which really makes a difference when you are looking for a DJ. Some companies choose to "hire" DJ's to perform on their behalf, which tends to lend itself to being a "job" that these DJ's are just clocking in and out for. I really love what I do and put the same energy into each show, which really shows when you have me out to perform. Each event is special to whoever is throwing it, which deserves a special performance from someone who really cares about the good time of the guests and I really realize that and help make it so because I am personally invested in my business and the happiness it brings people. That's why I started my business, after all.
