Ben was an amazing photographer. He listened to what we wanted for photos, and he came with great ideas as well. We were blown away with all of the photos he took during our wedding and our engagement shoot. After receiving our photos, we enjoyed looking at all of the candid photos of our guests having a great time. We had many guests commenting on how wonderful our pictures turned out. What we loved most about his style of photography was that nothing looked photoshopped, it all looked real and natural. I would highly recommend Ben to anyone looking for an energetic photographer who takes quality photos for a great price.
Chastity was the photographer at my daughters wedding. She went way beyond what was needed to get the perfect moments captured. She spent the entire day getting every last detail. She made my daughters wedding photos timeless. Chastity was absolutely wonderful to work with. I will definitely call Chastity for future photography projects that I may have.
Shea was easy to work with, timely in her communication prior to the photo session, and ready for us the day of! She added a unique twist to our session that was personal and sweet. She captured some beautiful photos...and that is hard to do with our lively 2 year old! I highly recommend her for your photo session.
Pattie has a beautiful insight for photography.
Very flexible and so sweet. Mary makes photography fun. She has creative ideas and really knows how to work lighting and effects
Candace is an amazing, photography artist. She has captured my family's photos for several years and we are never disappointed. She always does the extra's and once traveled to the hospital TWICE for us to get pictures of our newborn!! We love candace and HIGHLY recommend her as your photographer for any occasion!
Taylor was very easy to work with. Her skills with photography are excellent and she works hard to produce a really good product. The prices for Taylor Media & Design are fair and reasonable. I will definitely be using these services again.
Stephanie is a wonderfully talented photographer! She was very patient with my rambunctious 2 yr old. I was surprised at how many great shots she was able to get with him running around! Looking forward to working with her again!
Cukini Studio is by far one of the most incredible photo studios I have ever worked with. I adore them. I have a difficult face to light due to my skin tone and bone structure, and they always manage to keep me from having awkward shadows on my face in my pictures (: I did a couples shoot with Cukini Studio, and they went above and beyond to make my boyfriend and I's photos beautiful works of art. I love how creative they are; they push the envelope and go beyond cookie cutter photography practices. They want to project your vision, but will guide you and not leave you alone to figure it out. Michael also happens to be one of the most down to earth easy to talk to photographers in the area. If you're looking for someone who is going to be easy to work with, and not make you feel morally uncomfortable in any way shape or form, he's your guy. I would 10/10 recommend using Cukini Studio for all of your photography needs (:
Danforth was present at the birth of our daughter. It was his first time working as a birth photographer, but you would not have known it. He was absolutely professional and and the pictures are beautiful. I didn't notice he was there, but the pictures are still intimate. He also offered to come to our home and take a few extra pictures, which is a service we hadn't discussed originally. We were lucky to have him there. I would recommend him to anyone.
I love to do accessory photography, which means I like to be the invisible photographer that captures the special moments when the bride and her party are getting ready, the ride to the wedding location, the intimate looks between the couple, the kids playing on the dance floor. I also love to capture babies and families in action. I have done silk floral arrangements and love to assist in planning events. I have recently started doing Henna and would love to do small parties for friends or ladies nights out, birthdays, special occasions or individual pieces. My pricing is reasonable and I do my work because I love it, not so much for the income.
I shoot both digital and black and white film photography. My work has an artistic feel, it isn’t just a average portrait. It’s a piece of art and they make you think. Many of my editorial sets have been published around the world.
My work is centered about my clients needs. There are no cookie cutter poses or locations. I will travel to where ever my client chooses because this is about what represents them.
We offer artistic conceptual art photography in Iowa City. Quite frankly, the DSPC is often bored by mainstream photography, and prefers to employ creativity through using color, tones, location and lighting. We are inspired by photography from the days when digital cameras didn't exist, and a photographer had to know how to make a good photograph, without the aid of Photoshop. Oftentimes, our work has a distinct air of antiquity: while we shoot using digital technology, we enjoy creating vintage-inspired works of art that are reminiscent of the days when shooting on film was still common. The DSPC loves to create dramatic and theatrical settings for portraits, juxtaposing this world with other worlds. We also celebrate alternative wedding ceremonies, such as same-sex weddings and alternative religion or spiritual ceremonies. And ask about our band package! The DSPC prides itself on thinking outside of the box and dreaming big, and breathing new life into commonplace ideas of what a photographer can do. Some photographers do it for the money. We do it for the beauty, the ritual, and the art.
