- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a standard inspection fee of $50 to do a complete inspection of the entire chimney and venting systems. I go over an entire checklist of things to determine whether the chimney/ fireplace is up to all county codes & standards. I will also check for any potential water leak and animal entry points. If I find any issues I will write a list of bids to fix problems I find and potentially fix them on the spot.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
This will depend on the work I'm doing for them. But I will inspect there chimney and masonry. Then discuss and problems I find. I will then give them options to different styles looks and prices to repair or upgrade fireplaces, chimneys or masonry.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes I go to the National Chimney Sweep Guild Conventions all over the united states. I have to get a specific amount of continuing education credits ever three years to stay certified without having to take a certification test.
