About
Hi! My name is Katie Bissell, and I am an NSCA Certified Personal Trainer (License #7348545038). I offer in-person and in-home training; and for my friends farther away, I offer remote training! On thumbtack the "clients travel to me" option is turned off, so my home address isn't public, but I am located in Boise, Idaho in the Sherwood West Neighborhood off Chinden and Maple Grove for those looking at In-Person training. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Colorado Mesa University, where I also ran track and field for three years and earned a conference championship title in the heptathlon. I have been lifting for a little over eight years and have used resistance training for a number of purposes, including sports performance, injury rehabilitation, and general fitness. My life belongs to Christ, and because of that my identity is no longer in what I look like, what I eat, or how much I exercise. Having struggled with said challenges before, now I want to help other women set and reach their fitness and nutrition goals in a healthy way. Results aren’t guaranteed in this field, but I can guarantee that I will strive to walk alongside you every step of the way. "Never underestimate the power you have to take your life in a new direction” -Germany Kent

Before Katie I was doing the same boring routine at the gym 3 days a week (on a good week), not getting stronger in areas I was weak, and not pushing myself. Katie has helped me get confident, strong, and more well rounded. I’ve struggled with hip pain, so naturally I’ve avoided all exercises that could be a trigger. Katie has slowly introduced hip strengthening exercises into my workouts and slowly I’m seeing my hips get stronger! Similarly, I stayed away from running (because ew), but Katie slowly introduced small running circuits after short strength training sessions and now I sometimes look forward to running!
With Katie as my virtual trainer, the only battle I have to fight is getting myself to the gym. After I’m there, I look at the document she’s prepared for that week and day. I don’t have to decide what I’m going to do or think about what I need to strengthen - she’s got it all laid out for me!
