FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was more of a compulsion than a decision, to be honest. I reached a point where it was all I could think of, the only thing I ever wanted to do, and everything else began to feel like it was only keeping me from photography. It was as though I had no other choice than to commit to it completely if I expected to maintain any semblance of sanity.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Natural (not contrived, cookie cutter posed) portraiture with dramatic (natural and studio) light and a palpable ambiance that you'll feel every time you view the image - no matter how many times you choose to do so. School, party, home, prom, team or activity shots reveal much more of your personality than a stiff, posed picture can. Nature scenic shots create an aura of outdoors inside - not just pictures, but virtual windows to another environment. Almost living images of nature in colors to complement and set off your unique decor.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are millions of 'technically proficient' photographers with enormous egos out there blowing their own horn to justify their outrageous prices. Don't fall for the tricks. If you don't love their pictures as images in their own right, or don't feel a mood or message conveyed by those pictures, look elsewhere. If you remember an image, even long after seeing it, you've found a connection. Life's too short to hang up pictures you don't love.
