I have taught private music lessons for over 32 years and have a degree in music performance. Currently, I am the section leader violist for Canyon County Symphony, violist with Canyon County String Quartet, and an active piano accompanist. My students have opportunity to perform in recitals, a local festival, and competition.

Melanie has the patience of a saint! She works with kids of all ages, encourages, challenges and pulls out the best in them. She’s the best! She worked on an audition piece with my daughter which she thought she wasn't ready for. Melanie worked through my daughter’s frustrations and continued to believe in her. Because of Melanie, my daughter was selected to attend IFAA.
