Introduction: A lot of other tutors are interested in volume, and I am not. I work one-on-one with a very small number of children so that I can really hone in on helping each child excel. In most cases, I can improve children’s reading or writing skills in 12 weeks. I do this by using a customized syllabus that’s loaded with activities related to your child’s interests. I love that “Oh my gosh…I get it now!” moment when a reading or writing concept suddenly makes sense to a child. Every child deserves to learn, and words are a HUGE part of the learning process. Every time I see an improved score or grade, it gives me an indescribable joy.

My daughter was having a hard time with Kindergarten. To the point she was on a path of repeating kindergarten. My daughter at one point enjoyed reading. However, as the level of books increased, my daughter’s confidence decreased. We started tutoring with Ms. Kendra September 2017, and my daughter’s confidence and fluency in reading drastically improved. It does not matter if her session is in person or over the computer, my daughter is engaged and enjoying the time learning with Ms. Kendra! She even wakes up before us ensuring we know she has tutoring. My daughter first report card was all A’s- most importantly A’s in reading & writing! First person she wanted to tell was Ms. Kendra! I cannot explain the positive influence Ms. Kendra has on my daughter. Ms. Kendra is dedicated to the growth of her students. She puts her all into each session, giving her students her all. We are forever grateful!

We wanted my 7th grade son to strengthen his writing skills over the summer. With high school quickly approaching, we were hoping for him to enter with solid writing skills so his focus could be on the content of his work without struggles with language and structure. Kendra Hadnott was the perfect person to help him with this. Every part of her process is unique and customized. We started with a meeting to define our goals. Not only did she focus on our objectives, but also our child’s overall interests. He is obsessed with soccer and it was exciting as we sat down the next week to go over her tutoring plan for the summer how she incorporated reading and writing work that included his favorite soccer players, his friends, current teen technology, and more. He was thrilled to write about these topics and was really engaged in her lessons. Throughout the summer they worked on everything from spelling, vocabulary, grammar, language use, sentence structure, and essay structure. Each time they met I received a progress report on his accomplishments. He went into eighth grade with improved confidence and it showed in his writing. He tested into Honors English at OPRF and we are certain that Kendra’s tutoring helped to get him to that level. He will continue to work with her this summer to be certain he will hit the ground running next year. I highly recommend Kendra for your child’s tutoring. She is extremely professional, engaging, and it is evident that working with children is her calling.

Thanks to Khool tutoring my son Ethan who is in 2nd grade is now reading above grade level when he precariously struggled with reading comprehension and spelling. Not only is he more skilled his confidence has increased tremdously. His English teacher reports that he even volunteers to read aloud. I still can't believe it! Im so grateful for the time and attention my son was given. Ethan and I look forward to his next session.
