FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Thrive Family Therapy, all sessions are self-pay. We keep our pricing transparent and affordable so clients always know what to expect. Payment is due at the time of service. If you have insurance, we are happy to provide you with a detailed receipt (superbill) so that you can submit it directly to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Once we receive payment from the insurer, we will promptly reimburse you for the covered portion. We also offer discounts for students, first responders, and members of the Thrive Wellness Program. There are no hidden fees—just clear, straightforward pricing and a focus on accessible, quality care.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Thrive Family Therapy, our goal is to make the process of starting therapy as comfortable and simple as possible. Initial Contact: Once you reach out, our team will schedule a brief consultation—by phone or in person—to learn more about your needs, goals, and preferences. Intake Session: Your first appointment will be a comprehensive intake session where we review your history, discuss what’s bringing you in, and begin creating a personalized care plan. Customized Treatment Plan: Together, we’ll develop a therapy approach tailored to you—whether individual, couples, or family-based—focused on emotional growth, healing, and long-term wellbeing. Ongoing Support: Follow-up sessions are scheduled weekly or biweekly depending on your needs. We continually reassess progress and adjust goals as therapy evolves. Holistic Care Coordination: If you’re also seen through our Thrive Urgent & Wellness Center, we can coordinate integrative care to support both your physical and mental health. Our approach is supportive, confidential, and designed to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered from day one.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At Thrive Family Therapy, our care team brings together extensive clinical experience and advanced education to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. Dr. Peter Kelly, our Medical Director and Psychiatrist, has years of specialized experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and mood disorders. His background in psychiatry allows for comprehensive treatment planning and, when appropriate, medication management in coordination with therapy. Toni Poole, our lead therapist, is highly trained in family systems therapy, trauma-informed care, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). She focuses on helping individuals, couples, and families strengthen communication, heal from emotional pain, and build resilience. Together, our team combines medical and therapeutic expertise to deliver whole-person, patient-centered care tailored to every client’s unique needs.
