FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a youth, I always loved small building projects and making my own practical inventions. I soon learned that I loved building, subwoofers, speakers, and the science of sound. That led me to the home A/V industry which I’ve been doing for 25 years. Since the time I owned my first home, I found myself doing my own home improvements until I learned every trade. That continued to expand to the point where I was purchasing homes with the intent to fully remodel and then flip them. I did that for over 10 years and have now taken those skills on the road.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We just finished a remodel project of a tiny cottage with a kitchen, bathroom, one main room and a single car garage that was intended to be rented. In order to maximize the space, we engineered a suspended box out in the space over the hood of a car parked in the garage. It was big enough for a queen size bed. It became a virtual bedroom with a large storage space in the attic. This made the living space much more functional. It was a very fun project!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Over the years, I’ve been hired many times to repair work or projects that weren’t done right the first time. If you don’t pay to have it done right, you may have to pay to have it done twice.
