So here's the deal.... The Salon agreed to execute hair for the,"Lif lt For Life" fashion show, backstage hair, at the Ritz Carlton. THEY approached the orchestrator. Lift for Life is a s school that is well respected. They help with the education if inner city high schoolers. The day of the event, they left a MESSAGE at 8:50am In the morning that they would not be there...no explanation. These ladies are unfortunately used to being let down... They are fragile. Please consider using another salon. Their commitment to the community and lack of organization is pathetic. Any salon canceling that late In the game needs a salon intervention by Tbantha ASAP!!!
Prima Donna Salon & Spa's reply
Thank you for your review but it lacks all the facts. There was no informational email sent as to what would be required of the salon, there was no follow up with a time or date of a meeting with the teens as to what they expected of us, I had to continue to reach out to the coordinator for information and there was no information stating that we would still even provide services. We were contacted for our logo with no follow up that the logo was even used. The manager of Prima Donna reached out to the coordinator a day before the event and it was at that time that the coordinator informed us that she may need us for minor services. They also informed us that services would already be rendered, we were only needed for "touch ups", a staff of 6 people for touch ups and uninformed as to what was required was unacceptable even for a salon that is up and coming. We have serviced other events and everyone knows that the owner is always one step ahead in making sure that she has everything together. My staff had a series of issues, one with a sick parent, one who suffered a severe migraine, one who had an asthma attack the night before and two who had an accident on their way. I felt that if additional information was required, we would be contacted. But we weren't, we only get this bad review which paints us as the bad guys. We wanted to show our support and do whatever was required but when you are dealing with a new salon, eager to help and provide services, a salon new to the entertainment industry ( and we told you that) we would hope that you give us some insight as to what is required of us, not say Oh yeah, you can come touch up the students, we already had someone else do all the work and get the recognition, you're only good enough to come touch them up. We were doing this as a benefit to them but it was the responsibility of the owners to pay the staff for their time, effort and gas for "touch ups". We take great pride in our work and this could have been resolved with a simple call instead of making us look like trash on social media. Thanks so much and I hope the actual facts presented helps to shed light on this situation.
