Having never used an app such as thumb tack before, I did not know what to expect… however, I was at my wits end needing help with a dog that I recently adopted. I have rescued and adopted numerous dogs throughout my adult live, but this one was a special challenge and having just come through major surgery , I was desperate! I spelled out my story on the thumbtack app and reviewed several options. I really liked the reviews that I read for Lunch Box loves friends, So I selected that 1. Melissa replied very quickly and with a very understanding tone regarding my situation. This was on a Sunday and the next day we arranged for a time for her to come and meet my dog Angel. This is one of the best decisions I made this past week! She started with daily walks the next day which was Tuesday and came every day through Saturday. Melissa was extremely flexible with my unpredictable schedule and I knew instantly that I was in great hands! This is one of the best decisions I made this past week! We headed out of town for a week and our puppy Harold was nice five months and had never been without us. He is a rescue from a shelter so we were wary of boarding him so young. Melissa took great care of him! Very warm and friendly, Harold loved her and her daughter right away. She also took great care of my house and was respectful of my privacy and space. She was communicative the whole time we were away and kept us updated with notes and photos. We returned home to a well exercised, well taken care of, happy pup.

Words can’t explain how grateful I am to have Melissa in our lives. Her passion for animals is just inspiring. We adopted a German Sheperd and had no clue what to expect. Melissa gave us so much information on what to do, and consistently kept in touch to know how Wrigley was doing. When we first got him he was so sick, we had to hospitalize him due to severe kennel cough. I truly thought we were going to lose him. Melissa was worried about him as much as we were. She texted/called me several times a day to know how he was doing. She even offered to help me take care of him if I needed help.
I have a crazy work schedule, yet she has always been there when I need her. Even when I reach out to her last minute.
When my baby has accidents she picks up after him. I totally do not expect her to do that. It just shows me how much she legitimately cares.
Melissa you are incredible and anyone that gets the opportunity to work with you will totally understand how amazing you are, and will be just as thankful as I am to have you in their lives!!!!

I have standard prices for my services but am always willing to negotiate. Situations are different and I try to accommodate everyone.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk over the phone first to find out the situation. Then tell someone about myself, what services I provide. If that works out, I then go over to a new potential customer house to meet with them and their fuzzy friend and take it from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taken some courses to become a certified technician. I plan to become fully certified in the next couple of years.
