- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It is kind of a long story, so I will give you a condensed version. I had triplets in 2007, which created a necessity for me to stop working to stay at home with them. Though I was busy, I got bored quickly and challenged myself to study something I wanted to learn more about. Photography had always been something that intrigued and excited me and so I moved forward with shooting and reading and studying and learning. Fast forward a year and I started my business (I think I was always destined to be a small business owner, having watched my dad start and build his own as I grew up). Initially I focused my work with kids and families, taking on a hand full of weddings each year (anywhere from 5-10). But the more weddings I photographed, the more I loved them. And so, a few years ago I decided to overhaul everything and focus only on weddings and love stories. A decision I couldn't be happier about!
