FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Despite graduating from high school, and completing some college courses, most of my knowledge comes from research, and some years of hands-on experience with computers, and mobile devices. However, I may return to school in the near future, but this decision is still up in the air, since I plan to get my certifications outside of college courses, as soon as possible.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Back in 2008, my older brother came home with old Mac parts, and gave them to me. Included with those parts was an old PowerBook G3. I decided to repair it, upgrade it, and use it as my secondary computer at the time. I later sold it on eBay before the new year, for money towards a defective, 12-inch iBook G4, which was the computer I always wanted. I fixed it, upgraded it, sold it months later. At that point, I realized I could repair, and sell used PowerPC-based Macs. This later evolved into repairing Intel Macs and PCs, building custom PCs, as well as servicing iPhones not long after.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The three most common types of jobs I do for my clients involve building a custom desktop PC from the ground up, servicing their current computer(s) whether they are Macs, or Windows-based PCs, or replacing cracked iPhone screens.
