Telephone conversation or Zoom meeting with Host to understand the event, venue/vessel and customer expectations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
WAITERS: Professional Waiters are culinary-trained in food & beverage service and have worked as a Banquet Server or Front of House Server in a fine dining establishment. BARTENDERS: Professional Bartenders are BarSmarts® Advanced Certified, hold the Certified Cicerone® qualification or equivalent and have worked as a Banquet Bartender or Mixologist in a fine dining establishment. SOMMELIERS: Professional Sommeliers have passed the Certified Sommelier Examination with the Court of Master Sommeliers® or earned the WSET Level 3 Award and have worked in a fine dining establishment. MAÎTRE D’S: Maître d’s are culinary-trained in food & beverage preparation and service, possess management experience and have worked as a Banquet Captain or Dining Room Captain in a fine dining establishment. CHEFS: Professional Chefs have completed formal culinary training and have worked as a Private Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment.
