Mike’s calligraphy is beautiful. He is responsive and a pleasure to work with. Be aware that he is based in Chicago, although he came up in a search for a local area in Maryland. It worked out well, though, because all the calligraphers actually near me were clearly looking for bigger jobs and had minimums >$150. I just needed 11 place cards, which came to $35 priority shipping included. So he is good for small jobs as well as big ones.

Mike responded quickly to my request for 3 items to be calligraphered for my wedding. We decided to do it phases and I received the first piece right before the big day. Pricing is competitive,but flexible to work within a budget, and can accommodate services to meet the client’s requests. Pricing can vary depending on what the project entails. Envelopes and place cards have fixed pricing. Custom work would be a direct quote.

Process includes getting to know what the customer wants and how I can accommodate their needs and establishing a time line to complete projects.

I’m self taught and have over 20 years experience. I learn and grow with each project and practice my craft as often as I can. I’m also inspired by other calligraphers as well, and the creative process that follows.
