George and his team did an excellent job rebuilding my front porch stairs. The old ones were rotten and he came out and gave an honest assessment on what should be replaced and what could be left alone. They completed the whole project in one day for a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend.

Had a very bad experience with this company. I do not recommend.
May 6, 2026 I received a call in response to the Thumbtack posting. I explained what I needed done and the timeline. He stated they could do it and asked for the address, which I texted to him. He said they would come out on May 8 to look at the job.
May 8, 2026 I received a call from a different person, who stated the co-worker's wife had a baby and they couldn't come out that day. Later that day, I received a call from the person I originally spoke with on May 6. He requested I send pictures of the stairs, which I messaged to him. He gave me a quote but did state it could change once they actually looked at the stairs. He set an appointment for May 15 at 8 am to look at the job and they could start the job that day.
May 14, 2026 I received a call to confirm the appointment for May 15 at 8 am.
May 15, 2026 I received at call stating they were stuck in traffic. Two hours later, I received another call stating they were still stuck in traffic. They arrived around an hour and later. They looked at the stairs, doubled the quote and sent the quote paperwork. They removed the stairs and left the debris in the backyard, stating someone would come in a couple of days to pick it up because they did not have the truck on May 15.
May 28, 2026 I called to find out when someone was going to come pick up the debris. He apologized and stated someone would come out in a couple of days and to Zelle that person $100 for the debris pickup.
June 8, 2026 I called to find out when someone was going to come pick up the debris and to tell him he should pay the person from the deposit I already paid. He apologized and stated he would be out the next day.
June 9, 2026 Late in the afternoon, I called to find out what time he was coming to pick up the debris. While I was leaving a voicemail, he sent a picture of a flat tire on a vehicle. He never responded to my voicemail.
June 15, 2026 I called and left a voicemail for him to call me with a date and time he was going to come pick up the debris. I followed that later in the day with a text message stating the other work I was having done was due to start on June 22 and the debris needed to be gone by then.
June 16, 2026 I sent an e-mail to the e-mail address listed on the quote paperwork, asking for a receipt for the deposit paid. I have received no response.
June 17, 2026 I tried to call the person I was originally working with to find out when the debris would be picked up. There was no answer and the mailbox was full. I sent a text message asking him to let me know a date and time they would pick up the debris. I have not received a response.
June 22, 2026 I tried to give them every chance to come pick up the debris. Other work was scheduled to start on June 22, so I hired another company who came out within a couple of hours to pick up the debris.
June 26, 2026 I tried calling the phone number listed on the quote paperwork to ask for a receipt for the deposit paid so I would have it for my records. I got a recording stating that phone number could not accept calls.
Needless to say, I am very disappointed. This is the first time I booked anyone through Thumbtack. Due to this experience, I am not sure I can rely on any company booked through Thumbtack. Very bad experience. I want to cancel the rest of this job. I should receive a partial refund of the deposit I paid since I had to hire someone else to remove the debris.
