Introduction: As a tutor with fifteen years of experience, I focus on pedagogy and confidence-building. If you want quality, this is it. I offer French, Russian, and German lessons to both children and adults, from early learners to advanced students. Kristina makes learning French fun. I appreciate her making conversation with me in French everytime we speak. Even if I can’t respond in French or I don’t fully understand her, it makes me more accustomed to hearing French I’m conversation. This is useful because in movies or videos usually people talk too fast for me to even catch a word or two. But with Kristina I can clearly understand her words. She also adds her personal touch to lessons with songs or web series translated in French so you can tie the dialogs you know in English, back to French

I have taken two German lessons with Kristina so far and I am impressed. I enjoyed my first lesson so much that I attended the second lesson even though I was feeling sick. In this short time, I already noticed Kristina is a skilled instructor with years of experience. She has been gauging my level since I haven't spoken my beginner level German in over a decade and has structured her lessons in a way that isn't too easy, yet difficult enough that I am challenged and learning many new things. I look forward to learning more from her so that I can someday surprise my German friends with decent fluency. ;)

Working with Kristina has been wonderful! She is patient and kind, which makes re-learning French more enjoyable. I assess their level, unless they are starting from scratch, and select the teaching materials based on that. The students who are starting from scratch are asked to fill out a questionnaire.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I did my doctorate in philosophy, which meant working with the original German texts. What’s more, my father was German.
