After gaining her initial experience cooking in Telluride, the Hamptons, Manhattan, and the Dominican Republic, Taryn has had the good fortune to serve as Personal Chef to Oprah Winfrey for the past seven years. During this unparalleled experience, she had the incredible honor to cook for many high profile guests -- including President Barack and Michelle Obama, the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, and Dr. Maya Angelou.
Taryn has brought this culinary passion overseas, working in South Africa, Hawaii, Cyprus, and traveling the Mediterranean, where she cultivated a knowledge of international cultures and cuisine. Taryn prides herself on her distinct flavor combinations, utilizing local growers and products to create distinctive and captivating dishes. Today, she extends her bespoke experience to intimate gatherings, creating an unforgettable dining experience.

Taryn is a well organized, professional, and highly talented chef. Her food is fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious! She knows how to make healthy yet decadent food, but if you want to experience the full range of her cooking, let her use butter! I've used her for my last two dinner parties and will not go back to catering or any other private chef again. She has them all beat.

I had the pleasure of working with Chef Taryn on two different occasions. The first occasion was for a dinner party and I enjoyed that experience so much I hired her to cater an event for me as well. She is incredibly skillful in culinary arts and it was a delight to work with her throughout each event. Her ability to talk me through each course and deliver a meal that far exceeded all of my expectations was truly incredible. I highly suggestion hiring this talented professional Chef, I will again and again!!

Taryn did an amazing dinner party for my husband's 40th birthday. The food was outstanding, service was perfect, and she interacted with all of our guests- great personality. We have recommended her to our friends and will definitely use her again.

Chef Taryn has cooked for multiple dinner parties for me. Her creative cuisine pleases many types, definitely foodies. She’s able to cook many styles such as modern American, southern, Thai, Indian etc. She also has great knowledge of wine and pairing it with food. She can make amazing desserts as well. I’ve seen her do parties of 4 and up to parties of 50. She’s the best! I would trust her to cook for the my most important guest.

Taryn simply makes some of the best food I have ever eaten. Working with Oprah Winfrey for 10 years I’ve gotten to sample many great chef’s cooking and Taryn is at the top of that list. Her food just makes you happy!
