Working with Footprints Floors of Chicago was great! Kyle was so easy to communicate with and flexible, and the leader of the project (Aaron) were great.
This was my first home improvement project and I know nothing about flooring. Aaron, who was onsite, explained things in an easy to understand manner. I really appreciated the extra time he took to do so.
We put in hardwoodfloors in 3 bedrooms and they were done beautifully! I can’t believe how much of a difference it made and how well they go with the preexisting hardwoodfloors in the hallway and great room. I wish I could hire this team for other home improvement projects—they set the bar very high.

Hire this company! I really enjoyed working with Kyle and his team. First and foremost, he was super responsive and communicative throughout every aspect of the project. He also answered a myriad of questions regarding the project which was super helpful. When I finally saw the finished product I was super impressed. The floors turned out so well and much better than I ever anticipated. I have red oak floors that were originally that yellow/golden color. They were refinished with a water based polyurethane and look amazing (photo attached). Bravo!

Footprint Floors exceeded my expectations for my flooring install. Kyle was on time for both visits. He gave a fair estimate for the job. I received the estimate the same day however not on the spot (this is good as it gives an accurate bid). Kyle was very easy to schedule with. They arrived on time and finished the job in 1 day as promised. They did a great job of installing the floors around a radiator that my condo does not allow to be removed. They installed the floors exactly how I wanted. They also did a great job cleaning up. It is extremely hard to find good work like the work provided by Footprint Floors. I would 100% recommend to anyone needing flooring to contact them.

I urgently needed to have a floor fixed to prepare for selling our home. Kyle was able to come out for an estimate almost immediately and was able to help me think through a good and cost effective solution. He was extremely proactive about getting my home scheduled for work on his calendar quickly and ordering hard to find materials in time for us to start without delay. Pawel, who performed the work, was very approachable and had thoughtful, knowledgeable answers to my questions which made me confident he was doing high quality work - in addition to the results I was seeing! He also went to great lengths to test and mix a stain that matched the rest of my home, which had a unique color. Pawel worked diligently - without sacrificing quality - to ensure he met my timeline expectation too (which was a quick turnaround for a big job!). I am very happy with the finished product, the process, and customer service I received. The next time I need any repairs or floor work, I will absolutely be calling Kyle at Footprints floors!

Kyle and the Footprints Floors team were awesome to work with and I'd highly recommend them for anyone who needs flooring in the Chicagoland area.
I came to Kyle after the night before closing on a condo, there was a faucet leak, destroying some of the existing flooring. This was a stressful and confusing time, and I needed a contractor who could move quickly and help me navigate all the options ahead.
Three things stand out to me that the team really excelled at.
1. Communication Kyle was always prompt and clear in his communication with me, sharing dates he could work on the unit, what his pricing was, and what questions he had. I felt like I was taken care of and on his radar, which was much appreciated.
2. Quality The team did excellent and efficient work in my unit, tearing out the old and now rotten laminate flooring (due to the leak) and replacing it with a vinyl plank. I am thrilled with the results and was happy to see it done in two days.
3. Problem Solving Throughout the process, as it happens, there were little snags and oddities along the way outside of the control of the Footprints Floors team. Things like requests from the building or problems with the older flooring (mold), they helped me quickly navigate those issues and get past them so that we could continue the work and/or have solutions going forward. I really appreciated this partnership.
I would definitely recommend them to others and hope you all have as a good an experience as I did!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to meet the customer at their property to measure and discuss the best flooring choices. We will send an estimate to the customer quickly and competitively.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Install, sand and finish new hardwood and all existing hardwood. Stain new floors and old floors to match. Install new or refinish treads and risers on stairs. Help select and install new carpet. install new tile or vinyl floors. Natural stone and tile installation. Move furniture, appliances and plumbing. Remove/dispose of existing floor.
