- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The most common question I hear from customers is something to the effect of, "But I can just take photos on my iPhone. Why do I need to hire a photographer?" Well, the answer is really quite simple. Professional photographers are people who have been trained in the field and have been perfecting their craft for years, even decades in some cases. We know more about composition, about capturing the opportune moment, and not to mention, we know how to work professional photography equipment and how to manipulate the settings in our cameras to best capture, for example, a performer onstage. Being a photographer is so much more than just clicking a button. You have to observe your subject from all angles and make sure you can do justice to your clients' amazing work. When you're hired as a photographer, it is your responsibility to spend every available second trying to capture the right moments, the moments that will go down in history.
