FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It all depends on the project and what is involved. Usually I will charge a little extra depends on the complications of various production costs and post production effects. However I am always negotiable as I understand the client usually is working on a budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I hear what the client wants then I work with them on what the video will be like for them before we roll so then both of us our creatively in agreement regarding the final product they want. This carries on from Pre Production to Production down to Post Production.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been involved in film and television production for a number of years dating back to when I was 13 years of age. During that time I was taught how to cut and splice physical 16mm film as well as edit video tape until I evolved to HD and super 16mm film. I was the youngest person to take a course in video at the Art Institute of Chicago then later went to Columbia College Chicago where I received my BA in film and video. During my final year of College I lived in Los Angels where I studied screenwriting in Raleigh Studios across the street from Paramount Pictures. During my years I have worked in a range of departments ranging from being a Gaffer, Grip, DP, AC, Editor, PA etc.
