Reiki heals by flowing through affected parts of the body's energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy of the body and causes negative energy to break apart. When there is a disruption in the flow of life force (illness, injury, emotional distress, etc.), the vital functions of the organs and cells of the physical body are compromised. Reiki heals these energy pathways and allows life force to flow in a more natural state. I believe the body can heal itself. Both Reiki and Bodywork are excellent tools to healing. Through Reiki and Bodywork (assisted yoga and massage), I seek to promote a healing response in the body. By creating an environment for increased circulation and energy flow in order to release toxic build up both physically and emotionally, we can bring consciousness back into the body. Through bodywork, I work with people to bring their sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) and their parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) into balance and help clients get in tune with blockages in their body. Both chronic and acute conditions brought on by lifestyle choices and stress, biochemical circumstances, and injuries lead to these blockages. I look at the body as a whole system in order to find the root source of pain patterns. My practice focuses stress relief, mental focus and clarity, spiritual growth and heightened sense of intuition, releasing tension and pain patterns, flexibility and range of motion, trigger points, inflammation and stagnation. I love to help people find new ways to dialogue between their body and mind, to bring them into balance with each other. I am passionate about helping activate a healing response in each client's body that I work with. I am committed to helping those that I work with to create a self care practice for themselves at home to set up healthy patterns and continue the healing process after bodywork sessions.
