About
I have made a point of working with clients who struggle with ADHD, OCD, depression, anxiety and hoarding - I’ve been there too. In addition to cleanliness, I strongly value providing a compassionate and trauma-informed approach to learning what you are looking for in terms of organization. I know that what works for one person with adhd might not work for another. I believe that patience is key when decluttering, but also communication - I will not ever throw your belongings away without asking. I also strive to accommodate sensory sensitivities and use cleaning products the clients approve of. Plus, I don’t require clients to tidy beforehand since I know that can be part of the struggle. If there are things I’m not sure about and you’re not around to ask, I’ll just put it back where I found it or make a pile or container of things I wasn’t sure about.
I also value working with the trans and/or queer community bc I understand how important it is to not feel judged for any living situation. What matters for me is that your home, and my services, bring you peace of mind and comfort.

We had a wonderful experience with Bowerbird Home Cleaning and Organizing. L was communicative, pleasant, and professional. We requested a new condo deep clean. The condo was spotless and so fresh and clean. I highly recommend her for your next job.

Liz is phenomenal. She is excellent at all manner of cleaning (deep cleaning, general tidying, laundry, pets, etc). Not only that, she is also great at working within client needs, including things like scheduling, budget, and any needed accomodations. Liz has done work for me for over a year (about once a week), and I am always very satisfied with her work.

I’m so grateful to have found Bowerbird. Cleaning is a chore I just don’t want to do anymore, but I’m picky. I tried someone else once but came right back. She’s just the best. She leaves my home so clean, without the smell of chemicals. She has excellent taste in music too.

FAQs
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attended workshops on hoarding and read books by experts like Gail Sketegee, Randy O. Frost and David Tolin. I worked for a local company doing cleaning geared towards people who are neurodivergent, and worked as a caregiver at households with disabled children.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I cleaned for someone struggling with depression who had a lot of shame around the state of their home. I was happy to be able to relate to their concerns and be able to get their place in order and bring them peace of mind. It was extremely rewarding n a way I hadn’t experienced previously.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked the queer/trans and/or neurodivergent folks and allies: with busy parents, the elderly, artist/creatives, the very meticulous, insomniacs, working professionals, disabled folks, and pet enthusiasts.
