FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our standard pricing is $75/hour for interior design, however, this is negotiable within reason and we always strive to work within the client's budget. Contractor pricing is $65/hour and in some cases a flat rate, depending on the scale and scope of the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
- We start with a free virtual or on-site or consultation, which includes determining the client's style, personality and vision for their space. - Next we proceed with taking a general survey of the space, measurements, and determining structural integrity of the space. - This is followed by remodeling or renovation tasks if necessary, to create a pallet upon which we can build. After which we proceed with furniture and art selection. - And finally layout, styling and photos - incorporating plant life and/or gallery walls and other unique collections that speak to client preferences to show depth and personality.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained as a biomedical scientist, with a masters degree in biomedical engineering. I worked in cell and gene therapy development for 10 years, while doing interior design for friends and family as a hobby. I finally decided to go into business as an interior designer when my husband said: "I have seen you come home from work as a scientist and as an interior designer, and I can tell which gives you more joy." I have a passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces, because I hold the strong belief that our spaces have a profound impact on our mental health, whether we know this or not. I would love for every client of mine to be able to decompress in a beautiful and calming oasis that grounds them in who they are at the end of a long day. I am current working on earning my degree in interior design.
