I did a makeup trial for wedding day makeup and will update again after wedding (hair and makeup).
I was very nervous coming into my appointment after a bad experience with a different makeup artist but before scheduling Krystina was assuring and informative of how her process would be different. Since this was my first time looking for makeup services the cost did surprise me but I 100% feel like I got my money’s worth. Krystina was very professional and went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. I was very concerned with the durability of the makeup since I have my own routine down to a science of how to last over 24 hours so I made sure to put the makeup to the ultimate test. We started early in the morning (8am) since I had brunch with my friends in the city. In every picture and video my face looked perfect!! It was close to 90 degrees so after brunch when I got home I ran outside to see how the makeup reacted to sweat. When I came inside everything was still in place and didn’t run. I patted dry and left the makeup on while moving furniture around my house. Finally at 12am I was ready for bed and looked in the mirror and everything was still on perfectly! (If anything it looked better as I kept sweating) usually at the end of the day my lashes will come off pretty easy so I went to remove the lashes and freaked out from how tight they were still on. I ended up having to soak my eyelids with makeup remover before peeling them off. Overall it passed the test and I will be going back to Krystina for hair and makeup for my (2 day) wedding. I feel so much relief knowing this is one thing I don’t have to worry about 🙌🏽

Thumbtack would not allow me to select every single category, but this lady really hits every mark. Krystina Ann arrived early with her employee, looking sharp and ready to go. They were both super positive and just really started my special day off with a good vibe.
She reviewed my photos of inspo before starting and let me make any small changes afterwards. She took her time, laughing and joking with me all the way through.
All my friends adored her and had a great time getting their makeup done.
Price point: Now, I’m someone who usually cheaps out and is very frugal but I thought I would splurge on my makeup this one time and let a professional take care of it (as opposed to frantically doing my own make -up -rushed, stressed, and last minute) and let’s just say, in hindsight, that ended up being the best power move. Once I was in my makeup chair, I realized that Having a planned and designated time for my face the day of the event- with a professional- was a game changer and was worth *every single penny.* Having that piece of mind, knowing that my make-up is gonna look spot on was one of the best decisions I made in the planning process. I cannot emphasize enough how impactful it was to make room for her in my budget. I put my deposit down a year in advance and thought “I’ll thank myself later,” and boy was that an understatement. Whatever you have to do; (maybe work a few extra shifts or do your own table settings, ect.,) but be sure to get Krystina Ann on your vendor list. You (and your friends) will thank you.
