Slip and fall,
Jared's team of lawyers made me feel like I was their most important client. They made a difficult situation seem easy by walking me through each step of the way, always taking the extra time to be sure I was informed.Feb 21, 2015
License Type: Attorney (IL)
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We work on a contingency basis with our clients. This means that until your case settles or goes to verdict, we do not get paid. Instead, a percentage of your settlement or verdict is allocated for our legal services. This is typical of how personal injury cases work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Absolutely. In Illinois, attorneys are required to abide by the Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Board. In a two-year period, we are to report at least 30 hours of continuing legal education, including courses on professional ethical conduct. Beyond that, I also participate in legal committees and spend time researching how new property and driving laws may impact our clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?In law school, I knew I wanted to work in personal injury because it meant I could help people directly and improve their situation. Frequently I see people who are unable to pay for their normal day-to-day lives because of an accident that wasnt their fault. These folks then face other ramifications like potential loss of employment or career advancement, bankruptcy or foreclosure, or other long-term consequences. I can help people, and thats why Im a personal injury lawyer.
