Great quality photography! Kris captured great photos, especially of children guests at our outdoor party. The candid photos of our guests enjoying the party turned out very nice, and we got some beautiful posed shots as well. There were some moments/photos I would have liked him to capture that weren't captured. I would hire him again. Next time, I'll be sure to communicate my desires more specifically.

Kris took family photos of us outside on a cold November day. He did a great job joking around with my kids when they were complaining about the cold and he had great ideas for various shots. He took many posed and candid shots. Kris communicated with us many times before the shoot to make sure we selected the location, clothes, and date that would work well. We had the electronic photos five days after the shot and they were edited beautifully. I'm having a hard time choosing the best ones to hang on the wall which is a good problem to have!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is hourly for most of my work. My rate changes based on the number of people being photographed which increases the total number of images and the total amount of processing needed. I require a two hour minimum in order to provide the ability to insure prompt and reliable scheduling.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to go over what they are looking for in an image. Often clients want cheep and fast but when they get the final image they are not happy. Things like hair and makeup seem not as important before but when looking at an image once it's printed they can help to create overall satisfaction. In addition there is also a need to look at little things such as clothing choice and location. These can often seem not important but once the photo process is started they can greatly affect the final outcome.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a certification in digital photography from the Illinois Institute of Art. I also have a B.S. In Marketing from Lincoln Univercity.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a great passion for photography. I feel that it's a great way to capture a moment that you will be able to share and cherish for the rest of your life. To me I started photographing my pets because they are important to me and i enjoyed seeing there pictures even after they had gotten older it was nice to have a few to remind me of when they where younger.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with many different types of customers. I enjoy working with business professional clients the most. In addition I have photographed kids, family's, executives, pets, and products.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be clear in what you’re looking for. Know what kind of photographer you are looking for and what the end use of the photo will be. If you are clear and know what you want it is easer to make sure you are 100% satisfied with the results.
