Introduction: Hello! I'm a tennis instructor in the Roger Park area of Chicago and am offering privates! I have been playing for over 16 years now and have coached on and off for many of those years. I have experience working with kids 5-17 years old and also Adults from an absolute beginner level to intermediate levels. It's a great, safe sport to enjoy in all walks of life!

I am a beginning tennis player starting fairly late in life. Michael took time with me to help me understand the fundamentals. He also spent time training me to attain muscle memory of the right mechanics. I still have a long way but I am enjoying playing with my wife.

Michael is a phenomenal tennis coach! This is my third season taking lessons from him and I enjoy every moment. He is great at working with players of all levels, is patient, kind, and very encouraging. He will help you set goals and push you when you need to, while also having fun on the court and making sure your not taking things too seriously. Michael is a great instructor! He is very patient and really breaks down movements in an easily digestible manner. I played competitively in high school and a bit in college, then took about a decade off. So I was VERY rusty and honestly terrible lol. He helped me get back into the “swing” of things :) and I started making improvements in areas I was concerned about - like my forehand. He even taught me small tips and tricks that I never had other professional instructors tell or teach me in the past - and we are talking collegiate level coaches! I was pleasantly surprised and impressed! He really is awesome to work with and I look forward to picking it back up this summer now that Chicago weather is cooperating. You won’t regret working with him! 5 stars!!

Michael is a terrific, supportive and fun tennis coach. He is easy to communicate with, and wants his students to progress and enjoy tennis. I had the best time playing doubles last summer as I established a fun tennis group. Michael was responsive to each individual player. It was so much fun playing together with a good group of women friends!! I look forward to more tennis this summer again!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with a new customer is a fun challenge, everyone learns differently! It really only takes a little time together see what each player can work on in their game. Sometimes students will book privates with a specific stroke in mind to work on so it's all about communication!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing for over 16 years and have coached on and off for a lot of those years. I played many tournaments in high school and ended up captaining the varsity team my senior year.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I enjoy the sport and I've also done tutoring in math so teaching is something I've been doing for a long time.
