The service delivered a good end product, but the communication around expectation setting might have been better. In Loudbyte's defense, this was my first time completing a video using a service such as this, so I am sure part of my surprise was due to my inexperience. The prep up to the shoot was great. The experience the day of the shoot was quite professional. I do wish that the team had pulled me to the side during the shoot to make some recommendations that might have helped in post-production. The shoot ended an hour early, so they worked very efficiently. Had I known some of the post production challenges, I would have insisted we do a few more takes, but... The post-production is where I had some challenges. I expected to have a preview of work before I paid in full for the work, and assumed one round of changes would have been included, as that was mentioned when I asked during the shoot. After asking, I was allowed to see one of the videos before payment and when looking at the video, realized though contracted for 1 minute videos, this one was WAY too short. To make changes to fix this was extra cost. The team did come up with a solution to lengthen the sample video which did not require more shooting, but did make me sacrifice one video, so though looking to shoot for 9 1-minute videos, we ended up with 8. The team recommended using music in the video, which was a great recommendation, costed more, but would have expected it. When they delivered the final videos with music, I didn't like the dissolve in and out of graphic because it was not timed well...again another change. I felt quite a bit nickeled and dimed. So, I believe that they did a good job, but this style of working may not suit me, given I would rather have a bit more give and take during the process, so that the end product is better. That might cost more upfront. The price was fair for the work I received. Good group to work with if you are experienced in the gig-economy.
