We LOVED our photos, Essi did an incredible job for our engagementphoto session!!! I was shocked with how good these came out despite my fiancé and I never doing professional photos before. I never saw myself as photogenic person but she made it look like I was!! She made it easy for me to be comfortable with posing. The photos speak for themselves, they are amazing. The lighting and quality, and angles were perfect, she knows exactly what she’s doing. I couldn’t have pictured better photos, these completely exceeded my expectations. This is exactly what I dreamed of for engagementphotos but did not think would actually be mine! Thank you Essi, we will definitely book for future events!! I have so many favorite photos, she was able to capture the perfect moments that showed our love!

I cannot say enough great things about Essi and her work! Our wedding plans changed several times due to COVID, and Essi MADE our wedding by helping us plan and determine what we wanted from our wedding photographer, and was able to be very flexible in making what we gave her beautiful! We had a great wedding location in the Indiana Dunes area near Chicago (after rescheduling from what would have been a beautiful destination wedding in Cancun), but Essi's photography makes it look as though we actually left the country, the pictures and the nature elements incorporated are absolutely gorgeous. Even better is all of the kind words that went along with the photos on Essis's social media, she truly loves what she does and the people she works with and it shows. We can't imagine a better photographer for the best day of our lives, and we are so lucky we were able to have her capture those memories for a lifetime. If you want a wedding photographer who is professional, kind, fun, and brilliant at what she does, book her before its too late.

We hired Essi to be our wedding photographer and we will never look back - Essi was outstanding. Essi was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, prompt, and it was very clear she really cares about her work and making sure the couple’s needs are being met. She also made me and my (now) wife feel very confident and empowered in front of the camera, something we were not very experienced or comfortable with. We really enjoyed working with Essi and will certainly hire her for any future photography needs. If you want an educated and reliable photographer who is enjoyable to work with then look no further - choose Essi. We have not received all of our photos yet (the wedding was less than a week ago), but Essi shared a sneak peak album with us and the photos were breathtaking. We cannot wait to receive the rest! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet for coffee and get to know the couple and their vision for their day. Engagement photo session is an extremely helpful way to make sure we practiced working together, and helps us take those amazing wedding portraits in a limited time that wedding day requires.
For headshots and portraits we can be fast and work around your schedule for a studio visit, I often help pick outfits and we decide if professional hair and makeup is wanted. For location shoots we take longer to plan locations, outfits and the right time of day for the best light while still working around tour schedule.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA in Photography from Columbia College
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was drawn to powerful images since young age and new pretty soon I would want to pursue carreer in photography. Grateful to be able to continue doing my work with passion.
