Three R's Tutoring

Three R's tutoring and school assemblies I specialize in reading, writing, math, and science instruction for elementary and middle school children. I have a BS in Education with a major in elementary education. I taught children for 30 years as an education specialist, naturalist, and volunteer coordinator at Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center in Oakbrook. For the past 15 years, I have been a professional storyteller, presenting educational programs at schools and libraries that inspire people of all ages to the following: * love reading, storytelling, and the three R's * take care of the earth, Earth day every day * care for other people, teach the mind touch the heart, character education I have three children. They are all excellent students, including one with a learning disability that affects his reading and writing. Thanks to hard work on his part and tutoring help from me, he was a straight A student in college and has two master's degrees. Motivation and inspiration played a big part in his success. When young children have fun while reading, they not only learn how to read better; they also learn to love reading. Reading is the fundamental skill upon which all formal education is based. Early reading instruction will help your child get ahead in school. I can help your child improve his or her current reading level as well as develop a love for reading.
