Atilla Iskifoglu In the world of Flair Bartending few have the ability to excite, amaze, and inspire like 4-time European Champion Atilla Iskifoglu. The World-famous flair bartender has an impressive CV including wins in competitions across the globe competing in the Las Vegas World’s Greatest Bartenders competition. In 2001 he was featured on the BBC 6 O’clock News in London as he represented the UK at the World Championships in Cuba, and in 2009 he helped bring flair bartending to the mainstream as he wowed the crowds, judges, and viewers at home during a successful run on Britain’s Got Talent. Also known as The Bar Hypnosis, his love of competition is firmly rooted in a love of taking to the stage and performing his art, a love he has nurtured since first stepping behind a bar at the age of 18. He has been known to entertain bar customers at legendary venues such as Rock & Rita’s in Las Vegas not only because of his tremendous skill but also because of the knowledge and passion he shows for the drinks industry. This knowledge and passion has led Atilla to create a new style of bartending known as ‘mixology and flair’, breaking down the barriers that usually exist between mixology and flair bartending. He has constantly pushed boundaries, ever since he became the first bartender at the Roadhouse European Challenge in 2001 to flair with four objects. As well as honing and perfecting his own skills, Atilla also passes on his experience by training bartenders to work in luxury 5* hotels, and judging in bartending competitions where he rewards showmanship, knowledge, and originality. Often imitated by peers, but never copied, Atilla is a respected businessman, acting as Director of two successful companies, Cocktail Masters and Flair Action.See more

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to hire a bartender for a private party?

Hiring a bartender for a private party typically costs between $270 and $390 in total. On an hourly basis, expect to pay at least $40 to $60 per hour, as well as a flat fee. How much you’ll pay, however, depends on the time of year or day, the size of the party and other factors. Get in touch with a few bartenders near you and request a free estimate — it’s the only way to get an accurate idea of how much private bartending services will cost you.

Do bartenders need to be licensed?

Certain counties, cities and states may require licensing. Check your local government’s regulations before starting your search.

In many cases, you might want to choose a bartender who has a license and/or certification. If you’re considering hiring a bartender for an upcoming event or a special occasional, check their online profiles to find out what credentials they have. If you can’t find the information online, don’t hesitate to ask them directly when requesting to receive free estimates.

How do I find a good bartender?

Put some time on your calendar to research and compare top-rated bartenders near you online. Start by looking at their ratings and services. For example, some bartending services will provide a waitstaff, glassware, ice, coolers, food and more.

Next, look at their photos of past events and read the customer reviews. Find feedback on the bartenders’ services. Did they offer fair pricing? Did they show up on time to set up? Did they bring all of the appropriate drinks, cups, supplies and decorations? Did they interact politely with the party guests and provide a pleasant overall experience? And did they do the agreed-upon cleanup afterward?

Narrow down your top choices, and start contacting the bartenders. Ask for cost estimates for your event, and tell them how many people will be attending, what type of event it is and what services you require. You should also ask them questions about their experience.

Bartenders may need a license in your state, county or city to work at a private party. Make sure they’re properly certified before you hire anyone.

How much should you tip wedding bartenders?

Sometimes, a gratuity is included in your final bill. If not, consider tipping your wedding bartenders between 10% and 15%. However, this is not a set-in-stone rule. You can always tip more, perhaps 20%-25%, for great service.

What do bartenders cost for a wedding?

It costs roughly between $270 and $390 to hire a bartender. However, if you need a wedding bartender, you should request cost estimates from bartenders near you. Depending on the drinks you plan to serve, the number of guests and other factors, your total cost will vary.

WORST BARTENDING SERVICES...AVOID AT ALL COSTS! VERY unprofessional. They showed up late to our wedding due to not being prepared with the alcohol. One would think they would have gotten it all the day before at least. As the bar opened for cocktail hour, within ONE hour, they were running out of alcohol, and one of the bartenders had to leave the event to go pick up alcohol that should have been there in the first place. The night consisted of the bartender swearing, yelling and being absolutely disrespectful to me, my husband (bride&groom), my dad, mom and sister, all at different times. He spent more time in my dads face than serving drinks. If you enjoy the bartender you hire to talk shit about you while serving you your drink, then they're the right company for you. They also didn't wash glassware, my uncle got a beer with lipstick on the glass, that's a health code violation, unsanitary and absolutely disgusting! We will NEVER be using them again, and we will be spreading the word to everyone we know that C&C is a terrible bartending service company.
