The garage door knob was replaced which was the most challenging of all all of the needed work because the door isn't wood - but there was a bit of a communication problem. He wasn't able to understand my concern or questions clearly.
There was also a bit too much unneeded phone interaction - a call "on my way" is fine.
A second call "I took the wrong exit" is concerning (because based on where I live that means distracted driving because there are at least five different sequential exits to get here).
A third call "I'm 10 minutes away" is bit excessive, and a fourth call "I'm in your driveway" is unnecessary (that's what doorbells are for).
I had wanted a biometric keypad installed for this door, and he was basically arguing with me; bottom line being that he wasn't comfortable with the tech. Well, it's 2024. It's time to get with the times, is my response. He said he would install it if I buy it - but that wasn't disclosed BEFORE his arrival so I could buy it ahead of time. And I probably would have distrusted the quality of install based on this interaction.
I made the decision not to use them for the remaining work, because there was just too much arguing.
